Charles Peterson Comments On Laguna Beach’s View Ordinance Claims in The Indy
Commenting on the article, “Claims Will Test View Rights,” published by The Indy, a local newspaper, Founding Partner Charles Peterson notes, “It’s surprising that only eight view claims have been filed considering the intensity of the eighteen month debate prior to the enactment of the ordinance.” After much debate, Laguna Beach implemented a view ordinance earlier this year that is now available to help homeowners restore their obstructed views. As of May 2015, eight claims have been filed. Where there was once concern and confusion residents are starting to embrace the new ordinance and magnificent Laguna Beach views are being restored.
